New Certification Track Launched for Digital Trading Platforms
Certivade launches a purpose-built certification track for digital trading platforms, addressing compliance and operational requirements unique to technology-enabled trade intermediaries.
Certivade has launched a purpose-built certification track specifically designed for digital trading platforms and technology-enabled trade intermediaries, recognising that existing frameworks developed for traditional physical trading operations do not adequately address the compliance and operational requirements of the sector's fastest-growing segment. The Digital Trading Platform Certification (DTPC) establishes requirements across six dimensions: cybersecurity framework meeting ISO 27001 standards; algorithmic transparency and disclosure for platforms using automated pricing or matching; enhanced digital counterparty onboarding due diligence; client fund segregation and protection; data privacy compliance across operating jurisdictions; and regular third-party security penetration testing. Certification Director Helen Morris: "Digital platforms face a unique set of risks that traditional certification frameworks were not designed to address. DTPC gives buyers and counterparties confidence that a platform meets rigorous baseline standards." The first cohort of DTPC assessments will commence next quarter, with the Association accepting applications from qualifying platforms immediately.
